Fix App Icon

Import the icon image via Android Studio so that it has all the proper versions for newer Android versions.
Migrate from appcompat (which no longer compiled successfully) to androidx. Required moving minSDK from 14 to 23.
Fix some R related code due to the changes in Gradle and app compatibility libraries.
Fix the activity sometimes being shrouded by the action bar.
Other small fixes and internal version upgrades.
